Scandalous Liaisons by Amanda Mariel

This is dramatic and intense. Lewis and Grace met and fell in love when they were young, but Grace ended up having to marry someone else in order to save her family. Years later they meet again, only to pretend they didn't know each other. Now again they meet, and finally talk about the past. Grace is still as stubborn as she was, and poor Lewis can't believe he is having his heart broken again because of her. It's a sad story with a happy ending.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
