Highland Heat by Jennifer

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is story that is full of romance and intrigue, with some heartbreak mixed in. It's sweet, funny and I couldn't put it down. Grace finds Duncan wounded on the battlefield and is drawn to him, so she must stay by his side while the doctor cares for his wound. Then he gets assigned to take Grace and her family back to their home. They spend a lot of time getting to know each other, but it has to be done in secret because Grace is an Earls daughter, while he is a farmer. Grace would have to give up everything to be with Duncan. Can she? Will he let her?

Where They Belong by Caroline Lee

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a well written, sweet Christmas story. Annie is deaf and grew up on a ranch. She was sent to New York for Christmas to be introduced to society by her brother-in-laws family. Including Reggie, her brother-in-laws brother, who she has had a crush on since she was 12. He's a very caring man, a doctor and not happy about the way his peers treat him. Reggie gets a telegram that Annies pregnant sister is in trouble, and when Annie learns about it she takes off to go home. When Reggie realizes where she went he follows her. On the way to Annies, they have to celebrate Christmas on a train. But Reggie makes it a very special Christmas. I really liked the characters and story and enjoyed reading it.

Jax by Vivian Lux

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Jax is a likable tough guy, Lily is a sweet girl and the story is good. It's not intense, it's not page turner, but I couldn't wait to see what catastrophe would happen next. It's a bit snarky, a bit sad, a bit funny, and I really enjoyed it.

Misteltoe and Mochas by Patricia Eddy

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book of Patricia Eddys that I've read and I love her writing. This story is great, as are the characters, Mac and Devan, and I highly recommend it. Broken Mac meets sweet Devan and is drawn to her. After being seriously wounded, and shutting himself away for a year, he can't help himself. As much as he fights his attraction, he feels the need to protect her, and when her shop is vandalized and she is almost killed, he can't tear himself away from her. This is a feel-good story with a very HEA.

Unplugged by Sienna Valentine

I received an ARC ofvthis book for free in exchange for an honest review. Noah is the broken lead singer of band. Laurel is a reporter out to get the story on why Noah killed a man during a concert. It turns out that Noah is nothing like what Laurel expected. Instead of a rowdy, angry man, she finds a broken, sad man. While trying to get the real deal scoop from him, she falls for him. And him for her. What happens when he finds out she's a reporter? Can he forgive the lie? There's a lot of hot sex between the two, but there's also a lot of romance that makes this a great feel-good read.

Bella's Christmas Bake-off by Sue Watson

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Amy does not have the Christmas spirit this year, her husband left her for another woman and her children have made other plans for Christmas. To make matters worse Bella, her former best friend, and current tv chef extraordinaire, has stolen the recipes that Amy has sent her over the years and claimed them as her own mothers recipes from Christmases past. So Amy decides to take Bella to task and sign up for a contest for Bellas tv show. This book has a little sadness, a little mystery and lots of laughs. And yummy food. It was a fun read.

Merry Misteltoe by Emma Davies

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a very sweet book about Freya, a woman on the verge of losing everything, Amos her mysterious hired hand and Sam, the man Freya has always loved. While Freya sorts through her life getting ready to let go of the only life she's ever known, Amos helps Sam realize that he and Freya can resolve their past differences and have a future together. It's a little slow at times, and seems to skip quite a few conversations, I enjoyed reading it.

A Midnight Dance by Lila Dipasque

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Sabine fell in live with Jules the first time she saw him at her fathers play. Even knowing she could never marry an Aristo, she dreamed of being his. Her chance came years later when she tried to steal a silver treasure from him by pretending to sell her body to him for the night, while her cousins gave his men tainted wine. The men never got the wine, but Jules got Sabine. This is a new twist on Cinderella, with intrigue and comedy. I'm hoping there is a story for Luc next.

Throttle by Shauna Allen

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a great story about can't-trust-anybody single father Trace, and the woman who steals his heart. Trace and his son Ryder have been on their own since Ryders mother abandoned them when Ryder was about a week old. Tori was a waitress at a bar Trace hangs at who disappeared before Trace worked up the nerve to ask her out. But then she shows back up at the bar as a customer and Trace decides that he needs to ask her out before she disappears again. By the time he gets a chance, they discover that she is the counselor at Ryders school, so she thinks that it's inappropriate to date him. But Trace doesn't take no for an answer and she finally gives in. What starts as just a fling for him soon turns to more, but can he trust her not to break his and Ryders hearts? Full of drama, laughs and gushy moments, the story sucks you in and makes you want to keep reading.

Hitched by Shauna Allen

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a sweet short story. Not having read any previous books of the series, I thought that this was a perfect ending for what seemed to be a great couple. I'm looking forward to reading the next book, Throttle.

Easton's Everything by Amy Gregory

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a good story with poor writing. The conversations between people are often disjointed and don't make a lot of sense. But I liked the characters and the way the story evolved. It's good enough that I will give another of her books a shot.

Resurrection River by Lindsay Cross

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book has a little bit of everything. Amy has been in love with Ranger since they dated in high school, but she ended up marrying his best friend, Shane. When Shane gets killed by terrorists, Ranger wants Amy back. But Amy is filled with guilt about Shane because they had argued right before he left on his last mission. Can Ranger convince her that they belong together? With some tears and anger and twists, he just might.

Blindsided by Jami Davenport

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved watching Tanner fall hopelessly in love with Emma, he really is a sweetheart on the inside, despite his attempts to make everyone believe otherwise. And Emma is a sweet girl who has been in love with Tanner for years. It a tearjerker at some points, heartbreakingly so at times, but I enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading more of Jamis books.

Roped In by L.P. Dover

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Hadley is singer, Blake is an undercover agent. They get thrown together when Hadleys life is threatened and she is sent to Blakes ranch to hide out. Blake thinks she's a Hollywood snob, Hadley thinks he's a major jerk. They soon find out that that is not the case and they end up falling for each other. But that isn't the only twist to the story, add in a father who thinks the best thing for Hadley is to be "dead", and the Irish mafia. This is a wonderful story with interesting, charming and funny characters and once I picked it up I didn't want to put it down.

By Sea by Carly Fall

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This an interesting and thought provoking book with a paranormal element to it. I really enjoyed Brody and Rayna, they kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next.

Cadha's Rogue by R. L. Syme

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is an epic adventure that reminds me of Bertrice Small. Maas goes to sea with his adoptive father, leaving Cadha to dream of their future as man and wife. Except that he doesn't come back. It turns out that the sister he thought was dead isn't, so he stays in Scotland with her. Cadha will nit give him up and their future up so easily so she hires an old woman and her ship to take her to him. Along the way she discovers that the old woman is really a man named Valc. They get waylaid by a pirate and both end up in the sea. When Valc wakes up on a beach, Cadha is nowhere to be found. He finds help at a monetary and eventually finds her. They have realized that they love each other, but Valc insists that Cadha belongs with her intended, Maas, even though she wants to be with Valc. This is a well written story with likable characters, even the pirate. I can't wait to read the rest of this series.

I Spy A Duke by Erica Monroe

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Vivian, the wounded governess. James, the wounded Duke and spy. When Vivian confesses to James that she has been spying on him so that she could get the name of the man who killed her brother, he realizes that she has been used, and that her life is in danger. James decides that the best way to deal with the problem, and avoid the marriage mart, is to marry Vivian. And then turn her into a spy. As the two get to know each other, they start to heal each other. But danger lurks. Can they survive and completely heal each other while being spies? This is a well written story with wonderful characters, and a page turner. I look forward to reading the coming books in this series.

Becoming Daddy's Girl by Normandie Alleman

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I didn't care for this book, it read very immature and was poorly written. I never got interested in the characters and nothing is resolved at the end. If all you care about is a little hot sex, it's okay for that.

Fugitive Bride by Adrianne Wood

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. He's a little gullible, she's a little feisty. When Annabelle runs away from an unwanted marriage her father hires the Pinkertons to find her and bring her back. When they catch up to her, she convinces them to let her go to San Francisco before she goes home. They send Kitt to escort her. When it's time for her to go home, Kitt again has to escort her, but to her grandfather. Things don't go as planned because Annabelle doesn't trust her grandfather not to turn her over to her crazy ex-fiancé, so she keeps running away from Kitt, when she's not thinking about kissing him. I love how they interact with each other, there's no real animosity, but there is some fun. This is a fun romantic adventure thriller comedy and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes any of these genres.

A Christmas Homecoming by Melissa McClone

The more time they spend together the more each realizes how much they can help the other, and how much they care about each other. Except Josiah can't wait to go back to the city to run his company. And he hates Montana. But does he?

The Last One by Tawdra Kandle

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Meghan is a college student who volunteers for a summer art teaching program. Sam is the man who rescued Meghan and her roomate when they broke down one night on their way from a bar in the town he lives in. Sam doesn't think very highly of Meghan because the night he rescued her, she was passed out drunk, which left her roomate alone on a dark country road late at night. The next time they meet be fights his attraction by verbally attacking her for being irresponsible and immature. She ends up being his boarder for the summer. The sparks fly, but she doesn't do "permanent" and he thinks she's too young. The story is sweet, a little sexy and at times very funny. And I really liked all the characters involved. Definitely a worthwhile read.

The Ultimate Threat by James Osbourne

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a very intense look into terrorists and their many victims. It is graphic, not for those who are easily upset, but well written and engaging. The author goes into detail about the everyday lives of the victims and then how the attacks affected them. I really liked this book, despite the dark subject matter, and would recommend it for those who like thrillers.

Heavy Hour by Patrick Brown

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. On Jelly and Dillon’s wedding day Dillon is murdered. Is it related to an incident that happened 10 years before? When he police can identify no suspects the family turns to a friend, security expert Salem Reid. While Reid investigates we see the seedier side of life. It's not for the faint if heart, but it's a well told story with interesting characters and plot.

In Search of Scandal by Susanne Lord

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a very well written story. I liked that there wasn't too much of anything, like interference or misunderstandings, in Will and Charlottes relationship. I liked the story of the family, and Wills issues. It was very interesting and I especially loved the ending. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a nice relaxing love story.

Kellan by Sienna Valentine

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Kellan is an ex Marine who couldn't keep a job after returning from Afghanistan so he resorted to illegal MMA fights. Parker is a reporter who is trying to get a veterans bill passed when she meets Kellan. She starts off thinking that adding his story to the article she is writing about a Senator who doenst support the bill would be a great angle. Only she very quickly starts to fall for the broken, hurting soul that is Kellan. And Kellan falls for the one person who has made him feel like he is more than just a killing machine. The story is relevant to real life and well written, and the way they fall in love sweet. I really liked both of the main characters and the book as a whole. I highly recommend this book.
