Highland Jewel by Anna Markland

This is a captivating, romantic and interesting story. Garnet is charming, fierce, sweet, caring and protective. Jewel is determined, strong, brave, excitable and cheeky. Jewel and her brother Gray go on a trip to the highlands to explore the places that are important to their parents. On the way they stop at a cousin's house where they meet Garnet. Both Garnet and Jewel are fascinated by each other's names, and think it might be fate that they meet. When Jewel and Gray continue on the journey, Garnet joins them. Garnet and Jewel fall in love along the way, even with one thing after another threatening their future. This has such a great storyline and wonderful characters that I could not put it down.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

This is an intense, fascinating and captivating story of love and courage. Adam is a broken and defeated man, but he is also loyal, brave and caring.
