The Commander's Affair by Madeline St, James

This is an interesting, dramatic and heartwarming story. Daniel is bold, daring and determined. Charlotte is kind, caring and naive. Five years ago they had a friendship, now that his wife has run off he wants more. Charlotte would like more also, but isn't willing to damage her reputation. A bold and nosy Duchess will insure that Daniel gets what he wants, and leave Charlotte with no choice but to comply. Things get even stickier when Daniel's wife shows back up. It turns out that Charlotte has an even bigger heart than anyone knew, and isn't afraid to put whoever necessary it in their place. It's a great storyline and has intriguing characters.
