This is dramatic, suspenseful and romantic. Kenneth is stubborn, loyal, daring and protective. Cat is determined, bold and impulsive. Two years later, after her father tries to marry her off for the third time, Cat runs away and goes to a cousin to hide, and ends up finding Kenneth, who is there as a hostage for his clan. When war seems to be imminent they run from the danger. The trek to get them home is fraught with danger, yet Cat is determined to change Kenneth's mind about the two of them marrying without her father's permission. Kenneth doesn't have a lot of courage when it comes to confronting her father, but Cat won't let him walk away from her again.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
