Love Happened Anyway by J.R. Scott

This is sweet, romantic and interesting. Derek is uptight, demanding and lonely. Luke is sweet, caring and friendly. Derek hires Luke to act as his boyfriend so that his mother will get off his case and stop trying to set him up. Luke thinks he's a jerk when he first meets him, but then he realizes that Derek is just confused and lost. The more Luke understands Derek, the closer they get, but not on the same page. They make a sweet, romantic couple, and they are good for each other. I loved the slow untangle of Derek's life.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
