Mending The Duke by Rose Pearson

This is a sweet, heartwarming and romantic story. Royston is a caring, kind man who is sad and lonely. Laura is a loving, generous and protective woman. When Royston's sister first brings Laura and Elouise to his house, he is cold, irritated and unfeeling, but the longer they are there, the more intrigued he becomes with Laura. And when she takes him to task for his behavior, he begins to open to her and to Elouise, and finds that he can indeed be happy again. The sad, lonely man that we meet in the beginning turns into a charming, romantic and happy man with a huge and generous heart. This book should be on your TBR list if you love incredibly sweet, happy endings.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
