The Duke's Hidden Desire by Gemma Blackwood

This is entertaining, sweet and romantic. Beaumont is unpretentious charming, bold and caring. Anna is kind, protective, sweet and intelligent. Beaumont finds Anna in his guest room one night while she's at the house with her father and is so drawn to her that he steals a kiss and asks her to become his mistress. Anna didn't get as upset as she should have, which shocked her and sent her fleeing. His thoughts become obsessed with her, so when he falls from his horse, he asks to be brought to her. While her doctor father insists he stay at his house, it's left to Anna to nurse him back to health. While there they fall in love. Unfortunately she is engaged to someone else, and the whole town is depending on her fiancé to bring work to them. The story has loads of drama and intrigue, along with love and romance, and a few twists that keep you turning the pages. I enjoyed the story and the characters.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
