Highlander Smitten by Rebecca Preston

This is an interesting, romantic and entertaining story. Donal is bold, cheeky and protective. Fiona is brave, determined and smart. Fiona finds herself in the past, getting killed. Only it's not her, it's her doppelganger. Donal is racing to get to Fiona to save her and realizes right away what happened. At first Fiona tried to pretend it was a dream, then when she finally accepted that she really was in the past she proceeds to invent whatever she can to make life better for everyone. Donal is half in love with her immediately, and he subtly entices her to him. The new English lord wants Fi and is willing to blackmail her to get what he wants, but she's not the usual helpless female he's used to, and he ends up very disappointed and angry. Then the drama gets so much worse.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
