Dangerous Gentlemen by Beverley Oakley

This is an intriguing and romantic story. Sir Aubrey is bold and arrogant but he also sweet and caring. Hetty is quiet and insecure but also daring and brave. He doesn't even notice her as herself, he can only see her pretty sister, until he finds her in his bedroom and thinks she's a special temptation that a certain madame sent to him. Then he's utterly captivated by her. But while they are engaging in clandestine meetings, her sister is actively seeking a marriage proposal from him. Add in a stolen letter that may clear him of the accusations that he is a traitor, and you get betrayal after betrayal. His behavior towards the sisters, and her sisters behavior between him and the man who's accusing him, is sort of like watching a tennis game, neither seem to be able to make a decision and stick to it. I couldn't put it down, I couldn't wait to see who ended up with whom. And the I can't wait to see how the shocking twist at the turns out.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Candid Book Reviews. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
