A Matter of Trust by Ciana Stone

This is an amazing, intensely captivating and sweetly romantic story. It has a bit of everything, love, betrayal, intrigue, suspense, amusement and a supernatural twist. When Nikki applies to be a caretaker/companion for the summer, she is shocked to discover it's not for a child, but a grown man. A man who does not speak, and is treated like a toddler. But she sees an awareness and intelligence in his eyes that make her suspicious of the things she's been told. Nikki and Max each have their own issues with trusting people, but the longer she is around him, the more determined she is to solve the puzzle he represents. Along with the puzzle of Max, Nikki is also trying to find an artifact that a friend may have been murdered over. While she's more concerned about Max, others close to them are in a war for control and power, and she, Max are in danger from all sides. I love how Ciana weaves just a touch of the supernatural into her stories, just enough to make then interesting and believable. This is a must read book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
