Spurs N Surrender by Em Petrova

This is such a good series. I love the storyline, everybody pulling together to rebuild their town, and the guys dealing with PTSD. Anya is a wealthy, upbeat whirlwind who cares deeply about people and falls in love with Los Vista when she arrives. Wydell is a strong, determined good guy suffering from PTSD but has made it his mission to rebuild the town. Anya and Wydell set off sparks and tempers with each other, fighting one minute, loving the next. This is engaging and romantic and brilliant. The characters are warm and charming.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
