The Bastard's Iberian Bride by Alina K. Field

This is brilliant and riveting. It's full of excitement, drama, mystery, intrigue, secrets and love. The characters are fascinating, disturbing and captivating. The storyline is intense and suspenseful. Bink is a self-made man, resentful of the titled father he's never met, and determined to stay his own man. Paulette is an orphan who is determined to find out about her parents, from her guardian, Binks father. He just wants to manipulate them. Both are compelled to put aside their own plans so that the other can live a better life. It turns out she's in danger and he needs to protect her. But from who? Everybody is suspect and the twists keep them spinning.
