The Rogue's Bride by Jayne Castel

This is dramatic, heartbreaking and suspenseful. Alasdair and Caitrin friends in childhood, but then Alasdair realized that he was in love with her, but Caitrin was fascinated with his older brother Baltair. Alasdair proposed to Caitrin, but she turned him down, she told him that she wanted his brother. Alasdair was so heartbroken he ran off to join the war. Now he's back, because Baltair is dead, and he wants revenge against Caitrin. He humiliates her, is rude and unfeeling towards her and in general does everything he can to make her miserable. He was not a likable person through most of the book, then he turned into a real bastard. I'm glad they figure out that they're in love, but they almost lost their chance to be together. This is an exciting, fascinating and romantic series that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
