Grace by Emberly Hart

This is an interesting and romantic story. After Grace's parents died she had no way to support herself, so she became a mail order bride. When she arrived in the town she was to be married in, she was told that the man she was to marry had died. He was the deputy sheriff and had been shot. Grace wanted answers about how and why her betrothed was killed so she walked to the sheriff's office to talk to him. Brock left her sitting in the full waiting room for hours before he spoke to her. After talking she asked if there was someplace she could stay and her her room and board, while he was thinking a couple of men in the waiting room offered to take her home. Brock didn't like that, so he decided to marry her himself. Troubles with replacing a deputy, and a jealous housekeeper keep them busy, too busy to be a couple. Grace is strong, smart and feisty, Brock is caring, protective and determined. The storyline is entertaining and all of the characters are interesting.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
