Ache For Me by R.A. Black

This is dramatic, heartbreaking and entertaining. Kevin is an overwhelmed and frazzled single dad firefighter who is trying to keep his job for just a few more months, then he's opening a restaurant. Sabrina is a part time daycare teacher with a drunk and abusive father, and an abused and beaten down mother. They knew each other in high school, they fell in love, then she broke his heart when she broke up with him. Now they find themselves parent and teacher, friends and unsure lovers. So much of the past affects the present, they're both still in love, both have trust issues and both love his daughter Kim. Their relationship has it's ups and downs, especially when the past comes back to haunt them. I didn't love Kevin, at times he's an unfeeling jerk, but he really does love her.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
