What The Earl Needs Now by Michelle Willingham

This is an emotional, captivating, romantic and suspenseful story. The twists in the story are dramatic and intriguing. Matthew is a charming, amusing and kind man who came back from India broken. Lily is an independent woman with a big heart who has been in love with Matthew for years. The relationship starts off very strained, then over time they start to revert to their comfortable and caring relationship. And they are very funny together. Matthew's storyline is cruel and heartbreaking. Several if the storylines are sad, but there are happy endings. It was such a gripping book that I couldn't put it down.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
