Forbidden Trails by Bonnie R. Paulson

This is a dramatic story that isn't as sad as the last book. Jareth is serious, lost and restless. Cyan is bold, stubborn and uncomfortable. Jareth suddenly finds himself totally enchanted by a woman for the first time, even though they're on opposite sides of a serious issue. And then he shoots her. Cyan doesn't like the things that Jareth does, but she can't stop thinking of him, or liking him. Lies, omissions and attraction control the relationship between them, to bring them closer, but also push them apart. It's a captivating storyline with some likable characters, and a couple not so likable characters. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
