Heart of Gold by Warren Adler

This is dramatic, suspenseful, full of action and intrigue, with unexpected twists. The journey takes you on a wild ride with traumatic images. Karla is severely damaged inside, without feelings or conscience. Milton is a pathetic man who cares about nothing. They seem like a very unlikely couple, but it works. Until they can't trust each other, or anybody else. This is definitely a unique storyline. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest opinion of it.

A Damsel For The Mysterious Duke by Bridget Barton

This is a captivating, suspenseful and romantic story. Sammy is unsure, sweet, charming and engaging. Georgina is determined, loyal and kind. When Sammy sees Georgina for the first time in years, he's very happy, but also afraid that if she finds out that he is the former servant and friend from childhood, she could ruin his life. But she's just happy to find him again. Their friendship becomes a search for his past that is twisted and filled with tragedy. I couldn't put the book down trying to figure out who he really was. It's a brilliant and intriguing, and the characters vary from very sweet and charming, to evil. I highly recommend adding it your TBR list.

To Serve and Protect by Rain Harlow

This is a short, intense and entertaining story. Ben is caring, protective, stubborn and sweet. Liz is independent, determined, tough and fierce. When Ben hears a defendant threaten Liz, he insists the judge order protection, and that he be the one assigned to her. Liz finds him ridiculously attractive, but there's no way that she's going to put her heart on the line with a man with such a dangerous job. Ben won't put his heart on the line either, he'd been there and done that. But the chemistry between them is hard to ignore, so they don't. It's a very short story, but very good. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
