The Reluctant Duchess by Sharon Cullen

Sara goes to Lord Rossmoyne, who was her cousin Merediths fiance, after receiving threatening letters from the person who killed her cousin. Ross vows to protect Sara no matter what, because he failed to protect his fiance Meredith. While Sara is residing Ross' house, they become friends. The longer Sara lives there the more they fall for each other. The problem is that Ross thinks Sara can never forgive him for not protecting Meredith and Sara thinks that she woud be a terrible Duchess because she does not enjoy society, and she thinks a Duke needs a wife who likes to entertain and go to balls. It is a wonderfully written story with characters you can't help but like. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more books by Sharon. This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
