Temporary Bride by Linda Ford

This is a sad story with a happy ending. Anker is sweet, caring and honorable. Lena is stubborn, independent and untrusting. After her house burns down Lena reluctantly marries her neighbor, who was her deceased husband's best friend, but in name only, and only for the winter. While Anker has feelings for Lena and wishes for a real marriage, Lena refuses to trust in him and God again. But she finds herself fighting herself about what she feels for him. Anker patiently and lovingly waits and hopes for the best. She doesn't make it easy on him, she fights every step of the way.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Goodreads. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
