Smolder by Mackenzie Stowe

This is sweet, heartwarming, romantic and steamy. Jackson is a charismatic and caring guy who is still adrift after losing his dog. Amelia is an independent and determined woman who became fascinated with a man in a picture, the picture  being Jackson with his dog Katie. She moves to his hometown, but doesn't try to meet him. She does however find her home. Then Jackson brings an injured puppy to her office. But it's not love at first sight, at least not her for Jackson, but both fall for the puppy, and Jackson for her. It's sweet and a little amusing to see what lengths he'll go to in order to get a date with Amelia, and adopt Inca. When he finally gets his wish, it becomes hot and heavy between them. There are a couple of shocking moments near the end. One which makes Gabe into a major jerk. This is a great series so far, it'll be interesting to see what happens between Gabe and Thea.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
