A Rake's Ruin by Maggie Dallen

This is an amusing and entertaining story of love. Nicholas is stunned to find that the quiet, boring sister of his best friend is anything but. When she follows him to retrieve her brother, she loses her temper and completely fascinates him. Then he kisses her, and becomes besotted. Claire has always been the perfect lady, but now that she isn't under the gun to save the family, she realizes that she doesn't have to be perfect anymore. When she follows Nicholas and he turns out to not be the bad guy she thought he was, she relies on him to protect her reputation. Rumors start and he realizes that he wants to marry her, not just because it's right, but because he loves her. Only she doesn't believe in love, so her liking his kisses presents a huge problem. So while he's determined to win her, she's determined to have an agreement with him. He's very sweet and romantic while he's wooing her. It's a thoroughly enjoyable story that should be added to your TBR list.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
