Saving The Sheriff by Kadie Scott

This is an emotional tangle of love, betrayal, secrets and guilt. Cash is stubborn, honorable, caring and wary. Holly is stubborn, kind, insecure and sweet. Where her best friend, Georgia, marries her high school crush, Holly is devastated and angry, so she distances herself from them. After Georgia dies Holly comes back to their hometown to watch over Georgia's daughter. Drama soon kicks in that has Holly and Cash clashing over the past, and fighting the attraction between them. There is so much anger and hurt and doubt in each of them, towards each other and in themselves, but each just wants to heal the pain for the other. It's an engrossing and suspenseful storyline with great characters that I couldn't put down. The end was so intense and sweet that I couldn't help crying.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from LibraryThing. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
