Bayou, Whispers From The Past by Lauren Faulkenberry

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This has a good storyline to it, but it feels incomplete. It can be read without having read the previous books, but it would be a better story if all current books are read first and there was more of wrap up to it. It was interesting and entertaining, I like the characters and the storyline, it captured my attention and intrigued me and I did enjoy it.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
