I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Eglantine decides that her daughters are not going to be stuck in the same kind of arranged marriage that she had been, so she flees to Kinbeath castle in Scotland with them. Duncan was sent to Kinbeath by the King to secure it for him. Obviously both can't claim it, but who is going to leave? There is drama galore, some of it funny, some not so much, romance and suspense woven together to make a fantastic story.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
