Take By A Highland Raider by Susan Bella Ikin

This is a captivating, entertaining and amusing story. Liam is honorable, caring, stubborn and unsure. Mary is kind, considerate, bold and guileless. When he kidnaps her intending to ransom her back, she asks him not to. Liam is wildly attracted to Mary, but he doesn't understand the relationship between her and her friend D'arcy. And there is an intriguing tale about that relationship. Liam finally decides to marry her, and gets a couple of surprises. It's a great storyline with a lot of different characters.

The characters are interesting, and I really liked Garrett, but I thought that Savannah was weak and ignorant. The sub story of Grady is great, I really enjoyed it. This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
