The Offer by Sara Portman

This is romantic, dramatic and amusing. Bex is charming, noble, mischievous and entertaining. Lucy is practical, stubborn and bold. Lady Constance is wily and interesting. Bex has nothing but debt, Lucy has no prospects for marriage, so they decide to be friends because they're comfortable with each other. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is to resist the alluring pull of romance and sparks. It's a thoroughly entertaining story.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
