Deadlocked Dollhouse by Mixi Applebottom

This is intense, creepy and suspenseful. I loved the storyline, but didn't care for the characters. Mark is a nice guy, but he's weak. Kelly is a selfish, silly and unfeeling person. The one thing that ruined the story for me was the constant referrals to the abuse cycle. The cycle is a choice, you can do what your parents did, or you can do what you wish they had done. And not providing well, and not being perfect have nothing to do with it. If it wasn't for this aspect of the story, it would have been brilliant.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
