The Mercenary Pirate by Katherine Bone

This is an intriguing and engrossing story. Selina is tough, stubborn and brave. Wolf is confident, rough and engaging. Wolf saves Selina from a rough situation and plans to lose her asap. But he has to fight with himself about what should take priority, her or his job. She's determined to make him help her. Then there is the mystery of why she and her brother were kidnapped, and why. It's a very interesting storyline, and the characters are captivating.

The characters are interesting, and I really liked Garrett, but I thought that Savannah was weak and ignorant. The sub story of Grady is great, I really enjoyed it. This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
