Bachelor's Secret by Emily Bishop

This is a suspenseful, amusing and dramatic story. Blake is a playboy billionaire who needs to redeem himself. Roxanne was an abused wife who got away. They meet briefly at a charity function, then don't see each other for 5 years. When Blake sees her again, he needs to get to know her, so he agrees to do a tv show. Roxanne remembers him, but doesn't trust men, and is told by her boss to stay away from him. But the original connection between them was so powerful that they can't stay away. But a controlling boss and a psycho ex husband constantly come between them. It's a thoroughly enjoyable story that grabs you and holds your attention until the end.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
