His Highland Surprise by Celeste Barclay

This is a fascinating, suspenseful and entertaining story of love, loyalty, daring and intrigue. Tavish is charming, bold, amusing, chivalrous, fiercely protective and determined. Ceit is bold, independent, brave, stubborn and vulnerable. The King decides that Tavish and Ceit should marry, so Tavish goes to court to meet Ceit, and decide if he's agreeable to the union. He sees her a few times before finding out who she is and is drawn to her, then gets floored when he finds out that she is his betrothed. Ceit is not thrilled with the way he treats her, she feels like an obligation. Soon they're fighting strong feelings, her uncle and the King. It's a thrilling story, but the violence is a bit graphic.
