Ladies of London by Emma Evans

This a romantic and entertaining set of stories. The storylines are interesting, dramatic and sweet. The characters are likable, charming and amusing. They have one common thread, blackmail, but who is doing the blackmailing, and why, are different in each story. The constant in all of them is Lady Havisham, who is a bored widow that hates to see people being wronged, and loves helping them find love. If you like sweet, romantic love stories, and bad guys getting their comeuppance, this is a must read.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
