What's A Rogue Got To Do With It by Samantha Holt

This is a intriguing and entertaining story. Knight is stubborn, insecure, tough and lonely. Louisa is tough, caring and generous. Knight is a smuggler who has been physically and emotionally scarred by his father and the war. Louisa helps the smuggling ring by telling them when the revenuers were around, and also by storing goods for them. Knight has been attracted to Louisa from the start, but he thinks that he's too scarred for a woman to be attracted to him. Louisa finds Knight intriguing. When they end up on a trip together, things get personal and they both try to fight their growing feelings. The storyline is interesting and the characters are fascinating and the end is very sweet. Three Reckless Wishes by Lila DiPasqua

This is a brilliant and riveting story. It's full of love, drama, suspense and heat. Luc is a caring, emotioanally damaged and stubborn man. Isabelle is a brave, determined and untrusting woman. Isabelle fell in love with Luc when they were teenagers, but Luc never knew,  they never actually met. But he falls in love with her while reading her journals. When they meet, ten years after she supposedly died, he has no clue that the woman he met, and became obsessed with, is the same woman that wrote the journals. The two become helplessly and intensely drawn to the other, but both have secrets they are not willing to trust the other with. I could not put this down, and surprises so twisted and romantic will make staying up all night well worth it. I recieved a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is an thrilling, dramatic, sweet and engaging story. Michael is an intense, unemotional and stubborn man. Emma is a vivacious, bold and caring woman. After losing his intended to his brother, Michael turns his attention to the only other woman with a dowry big enough to cover his needs, the American heiress Emma Marks. Emma has been dreaming of marrying a man with a title because that's what her mother wanted for her. When Michael shows up to propose the day after they were introduced, Emma sees something in him that intrigues her, so she tells him she'll think about it. After she agrees, Michael blows hot and cold, making her waffle about whether she's making the right decision or not. Neither trusts the others motives, and Michael has so much conflict in his life, including his growing feelings for Emma, that he is confused and angry. This is romantic, dramatic and entertaining. Anteros is bold, charming, gentle and stubborn. Olivia is determined, tough and optimistic. They started out as friends, but both developed feelings for the other. Unfortunately for Olivia, she doesn't know that Anteros is a prince and has reasons for vowing to never marry. When his father gives him an ultimatum, he can marry his chosen bride or deal with the consequences, Anteros makes a deal with him to marry Olivia instead. Only it's not that easy, both Anteros and his father are stubborn and determined to get their own way, which doesn't bode well for Olivia. The Enigma of A Widow by Linda Rae Sande

This is entertaining, amusing and sweet. Adonis is charming, chivalrous, loyal, caring and bold. Lydia is independent, daring, tough and sympathetic. Adonis made a promise to protect Lydia, made to her dying husband, and he meant to do it whether she wanted him to or not. Lydia was very surprised to find Adonis in her bedchamber in the middle of the night, sleeping, repeatedly. When she was told by the office of foreign affairs that she was to do whatever necessary, including marrying him, to insure that he was sane, she grew concerned. But they built a comfortable, if entertaining, relationship. I loved these characters, they both just rolled with whatever came along, and were perfect for each other. Cowboy Temptation by Em Petrova

This is romantic, amusing and heartwarming. Easton is stubborn, naive, caring and sweet. Lilah is caring, quiet, tough and untrusting. Lilah received her first kiss from Easton when she was 10, and he 12, unfortunately for her it was only because of a bet. She was heartbroken and never forgave him, he lived with the regret of what he'd done. Now, years later, they are both temporarily working at the same ranch where it all began. With Easton trying to repair the damage, and realizing that he has, and has had, genuine feelings for her, and Lilah pushing him away, believing it's just him messing with her. Dashing Rogues by Dawn Brower and Amanda Mariel

These stories are romantic, amusing and intriguing. The storylines are interesting and the characters are likable and sympathetic. This is amusing, interesting and romantic. Brandon is amusing, stubborn and hard. Serenity is bold, determined, caring and sassy. Brandon is very intensely attracted to Serenity, but he refuses to do anything about it. Serenity is quite determined to change his mind. They constantly go at each other, him trying to drive her away, her trying to get him to give in. This is a intriguing, romantic, thrilling and entertaining story. Ian is kind caring, unassuming and stubborn. Lara is strong, determined and tough. Lara's husband Angus dies not long after buying a scottish manor to refurbish. Not knowing why Angus wouldn't hire Ian to do the job, Lara hires him. In the beginning Ian just wanted to make sure the house was safe and done right, and hoping that he might find something that pointed to it being his ancestral home. But along the way he develops feelings for Lara, and her son and daughter. He keeps her in the dark about his connection to the place, thinking she'd fire him and he would never learn about his heritage. It take her a while to realize that he does have a tie to the house, but it takes him spelling it out for her to understand completely. This is sweet and romantic. Griffin is determined, caring, charming and sweet. Everleigh is vulnerable, kind, gentle and untrusting. Everleigh survived a very abusive marriage and is just facing society after 2 years, but is still wary of and nervous in large crowds. After she enters the drawing room, she hears a child crying and turns to see who it is. Griffin, the child's father, watches intently as the woman who is known as the ice queen picks up his crying daughter, and is caught off guard when his heart hitches. He becomes determined to win over the fascinating woman his daughter called an angel. But Everleigh isn't interested, she is not willing to trust another man with her safety and happiness. Griffin is gentle and charming with her though, and little Sarah is too precious to ignore. This is a beautiful story with likable and engaging characters. Lincoln Shaw by Ciana Stone

This is intense, romantic and dramatic. Lincoln is charming, impulsive, caring and unsure. Lula is bold, outgoing, strong and sweet. Lincoln is intrigued by Lula immediately and she was drawn to him, but neither knew exactly how to have a real relationship. While they got to know each other Lula was also on a special assignment, guarding the HS football coach, but she couldn't confide in Lincoln, which led to him being jealous, which was a new thing for him, She was also trying to help the ghost of a little girl find her sister and her body. A little trouble, an accident and a wedding make for a thrilling story. This is part of a great series filled with wonderful, special people. This is romantic, dramatic, sweet and entertaining. Devin is reserved, proper and logical. Cecilia is bold, daring and determined. They've known each other since they were small, but a year after becoming engaged, each wonders if they really suit. They are complete opposites, but they complement each other so well. On the eve of Cecilia's family auctioning off their belongings to provide dowrys for both girls, and finance their move to Cannes, they get robbed. And Devin is accused of the crime. Cecilia doesn't believe it and sets out to find the truth and clear Devin. As they race all over town, they come to learn that not only do they love each other, they're perfect for each other. Ladies of London by Emma Evans

This a romantic and entertaining set of stories. The storylines are interesting, dramatic and sweet. The characters are likable, charming and amusing. They have one common thread, blackmail, but who is doing the blackmailing, and why, are different in each story. The constant in all of them is Lady Havisham, who is a bored widow that hates to see people being wronged, and loves helping them find love. If you like sweet, romantic love stories, and bad guys getting their comeuppance, this is a must read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Highlander's Heart by Joanne Wadsworth

This is steamy, suspenseful and dramatic. Tor is charming, fierce, determined and protective. Layla is loyal, caring and stubborn. Layla is betrothed to an ally clan member when Tor realizes she is his chosen mate, and he has talk convince her to break the betrothal. Doonan is not happy to learn that he was losing the fae bride he wants, and wants Tor dead. Layla puts herself in danger trying to right the wrong she inadvertently caused, which leads to an exciting finish. A Wicked Kind of Husband by Mia Vincy

This is a very funny and entertaining story. . Joshua is a hyper, charming and intelligent man with a wicked sense of humor. Cassandra is a strong, determined and snarky woman. They married, and then immediately separated. When they meet again 2 years later, neither knew who the other is. She went to London to try to get her grandmother to sponsor her sister, and that meant staying in her husband's home. He tries to send her back home, she won't go. They constantly clash with hilarious results. They do manage to fall for each other, but it's not nicely. I absolutely loved everything about this book. Rescued By The Captain by Laura A. Barnes

This is an intriguing and entertaining story, but the writing is not great. At times it reads like it's an outline, not a story. There's also a bit of repetition, the two  say the same thing, but different ways. I liked the characters and the storyline, just not how it's written. Searching For My Rogue by Dawn Brower

This is amusing and romantic. James is bold, impulsive and determined. Alys is stubborn, snarky and brave. When Alys finds herself in the past, she know if she can bear to be just a wife and mother, instead of the surgeon she had been going training to be. There was something about James that drew her, besides the lust that was hot between them, and he felt the same. He wants for them to marry immediately, to protect her reputation, she wants to think about it, but for them to sleep together while she's thinking about it. This is intriguing, romantic and entertaining. Zane is charming, bold, amusing and romantic. Callista is determined, independent, brave and strong. After she shoots the man who killed her fiancé, Callista falls off a balcony and finds she finds herself in not only a different country, but a different time. When Zane is trying to hide from his guests, he finds Callista, and she faints on him. When she comes together the next morning and he finds out who she is, he's excited, he's been intrigued by her story from the first when he read it. They get snarky, but then Zane gets snarky with Weston too, it's very entertaining. I love time travel stories, and this didn't disappoint. I can't wait to read the entire series. This is entertaining, amusing and interesting. Hamish is stubborn, charming and unwilling to change. Katherine is smart, outgoing and determined. They had friends in common, but did not really talk to each other, until she saved him a beating by vouching for him at an inn. Then, when his house burns, he hires her father's company to rebuild it, which put them in closer contact, because she manages the site. She knows she's too old to marry, and she finds him attractive, so she asks him for one night, so she at least gets to experience what happens in the marriage bed. He refuses, and avoids her, so she teases and tempts him, then says she'll get someone else. He doesn't like that idea, but he doesn't want to be responsible for her ruin, and he won't marry her. But he does finally give in and they start an affair. But when they get caught he runs away to his country estate. He really is a cad for most of the book, but he doesn't come across as a jerk. This is a romantic and intriguing story. Christopher is charming, optimistic and sweet. Claire is strong, independent and vulnerable. They met at a house of ill repute, each needing the comfort they gave to each other. When Claire goes to London to join the Ton, and it looks like she will be outed, Christopher decides to try to come to her aid. This is a romantic, entertaining and fun story. Winchester is stubborn, quick to judge and caring. Olivia is naive, strong and determined. After Winchester finds an upset Olivia at the park, he is called upon to defend her honor, but he decides that he must check the facts himself first. Because even though he is drawn to her, he won't take her word over her accuser. Luckily Olivia has a new friend who has decided to help defend her. By the the time everyone is on the same page and a plan is settled on, the two have become friendly and close. The end of the story is immensely satisfying. This is sweet, romantic, entertaining and interesting. Jasper is gentle, caring and charming. Marianne is sweet, insecure and vulnerable. When Jasper first sees Marianne, he is drawn to her, and when they start talking, he is intrigued by her. They end up getting caught kissing in front of a Cupid statue, then marrying. He was getting ready to go on an excavation trip, so that became their honeymoon. When visiting and working the site they get to know each other, and fall in love. The descriptions of the ancient ruins are fascinating, as is all of the drama that surrounds them. It's truly a wonderful and interesting story. Once Upon A Duke by Erica Ridley

This is romantic, amusing, sad and sweet. Benjamin is stubborn, determined and intense. Noelle is sweet, caring and generous. He broke her heart 5 years earlier when he left Cressmouth without saying good-bye. And he has only come back to get the locket his grandfather stole from him. But before he can have it he has to finish the project his grandfather gave him. So while he's in town he decides to spend time with her, knowing that they will never see each other again, while also realizing that he wishes that things could be different, that they could be together. She also comes to learn that he left her because he is heartbroken, not because she's not dispensable. They both have an epiphany at the end of the story, and both realize what love means. Crooked Tree Ranch by R.J. Scott

This is romantic, sexy, amusing and sweet. Nate is stubborn, tough, caring and snarky. Jay is gentle, caring, protective, vulnerable and determined. Jay moves he and his family to Montana after getting laid off from his job. He a new start for him, his abused sister and her kids. He wasn't looking for a relationship, but the minute he laid eyes on Nate, his mind wouldn't let up. Nate had the same reaction to Jay, but he had never had a relationship before, and didn't want to mix work and play. Both families had issues, all were drawn to members of the other family, and eventually they all helped each other. And Nate and Jay fell in love. SEALs Goal by Sharon Hamilton

This has a great storyline and as a whole I really liked it, but I didn't really like the characters. Patrick is a nice guy and Stephanie is sweet, but they both lack respect, especially for a man they both supposedly loved. The three grew up as best friends, but both guys are kinda in love with her, and she is kinda in love with both guys, but she and Ryan ended up together romantically. Within days of Ryan's death, Stephanie and Patrick are falling into bed and making plans for their future. And after losing Ryan because he was a SEAL, Patrick thinks it's ok to subject Stephanie to more of the same uncertainty by deciding to become a SEAL. That decision shouldn't be okay for either of them. So, I liked the story, but couldn't like the characters much. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is epic tale of love, lies, secrets and betrayal. Felton and Arabella are being bullied by their parents to marry, but neither wants it. Arabella is in love with Felton's best friend Evan, and Felton has met Louisa and fallen in love. Nobody can figure out why the parents are so adamant about the marriage, but all try to figure it out before it's too late. What they learn comes as a shocking twist in a complicated and intriguing way. The book drags a little here and there, but it's intriguing and entertaining all the way through. Return For Me by Ian Finn

This is steamy, romantic, dramatic and interesting. Duncan is controlling, bold, stubborn and emotionally closed. Tyler is sweet, caring, impulsive and unsure. They met at band camp and shared one hot kiss, then didn't see each other for 13 years. When Duncan saw a hot guy, he sends his driver to pick him up for a one night stand, but when Tyler shows up, he dominates him, reminds him about the kiss, then walks out. Duncan is stunned at first, then can't get Tyler off his mind. Neither is out, Duncan never plans on outing himself, Tyler is waiting for the right time. But so many people come in contact with them, helping them to try to be who they are, and be happy. It's a fascinating storyline and all of the many characters are so personable and likable. This is sweet, romantic and interesting. Luther is determined, bold, unassuming and protective. Diana is independent, bold, stubborn and strong. Diana has been in love with Luther for years, but knew that she was too plain to catch his eye. Luther had always thought of Diana as a pesky child, until he saw her at a ball one night. Luther decided then and there that he was going to marry her, he just needed to convince her. She had plans of her own, ones she knew Luther would not approve of, but he unfortunately found out about, and blackmailed her into courtship with. They both have strong personalities, but love is stronger.

Find You Out by Rachel Kane

This is an intriguing, dramatic and gripping story with fascinating characters. It builds intensity as it goes, and keeps you guessing at every turn. Alex is smart, determined and protective. Cam is stubborn, insecure and caring. When Cam is threatened by someone warning to expose his secrets, his lawyer arranges for him to meet a PR guy to mitigate the damages, but Alex immediately cops an attitude towards him. They each feel pulled to the other, but neither wants any kind of relationship. Because of the activity online, they spend a lot of time in each other's company and end up in bed. Stress and impulsivity causes them to repeatedly make rash decisions, some with negative outcomes. Once I started reading it I had a hard time putting it down. The Unwanted Suitor by Michelle Pennington

This is a romantic, entertaining and sweet story. James is determined, bold and impulsive. Cornelia is stubborn, insecure and vulnerable. Cornelia thought she was going to marry James' brother, knowing James was out of her reach, but then James suddenly sent his brother away to marry someone else. So Cornelia left town to take a companion job. Next thing she knows there's a house party happening, and James will be there. While he's doing everything he can to get her to give him a chance, she's doing everything she can to set him up with a different girl. He's very sweet about it, if not exactly smart, and she's twice as stubborn about it. It's a great story. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is is a fast paced, thrilling and romantic story. Harm is charming, amusing, tough, determined and caring. Talia is stubborn, strong, independent and caring. While the SEAL team is at the lodge again, Harm realizes that there's something bothering Talia, something serious. Someone is targeting her, scaring away the guests and the workers and spreading stories of the bad juju to come to the very superstitious natives. Harm and the rest of the SEALs work to find out who is responsible, and stop them. Meanwhile, Harm, who doesn't believe in love, and Talia, who is still mourning her husband, find themselves getting close, and are each wondering if there is a possible future for them. I loved Harm and Talia's story, and the storyline comes with a hugely satisfying ending. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

This is sweet, romantic, dramatic and interesting. Dylan is lost, lonely, brave, gentle and charming. Natalia is impulsive, bold, stubborn and caring. He made bet that he could get Natalia to dance with him twice, because he was broke, disowned and desperate. But one conversation with her and he realizes that he has become intrigued by her. Natalia thought that he was a hero, an honest and chivalrous soldier, but one conversation with him and she thinks that he is just like the rest of the men she knows. Yet she's still intrigued and invites him to meet in the garden, where they get caught kissing. He wants to marry her, she doesn't trust him. The storyline gets better and more intriguing as you read. A secret eventually comes to light, one that will change their relationship forever.
