The Duke's Broken Heart by Abigail Aga

This is entertaining and fun, but the author takes much of the suspense away by giving away the answer before the question is asked. Phin is a quiet introvert who just wants to be left alone, until he meets Charlotte. Charlotte is outgoing and loves to be around people. Phin is drawn to her vivacious personality and she's drawn to his calm demeanor. All goes well until rumors about him start circulating and she decides that she can't align herself with his poor reputation. The drama and friends make an enjoyable story and the end was an amusing twist.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
