This is suspenseful, dramatic and romantic. Phoenix is dedicated, noble, caring and thoughtful. Ria is independent, stubborn, tough and insecure. Phoenix sees Ria in a bar and is instantly intrigued. While they dance they both feel intense attraction and a pull. When Ria needs protection, Phoenix hides her away. She tries to push him away, he decides that he wants to go slow. They get to know each other, and trust each other, while solving a crime together. It's so good that I couldn't put it down.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special.
