Protecting Her Heart by Chance Carter

This is hot and entertaining. Luke is cocky, charming and loyal, and he's also in denial. Mimi is stubborn, foolish, weak and dumb. Between her own misgivings and Luke's pointed comparisons, Mimi should have run from Arran as fast as she could, but she doesn't. Their once solid friendship becomes confusing and not so friendly after Luke agrees to be Mimi's wingman. It's definitely an intriguing storyline.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special.
