The Pirate's Duty by Katherine Bone

This is a interesting, dramatic and entertaining story. At times it goes beyond what's needed for detail and gets a little tedious. Pierce is an honorable, honest and engaging character. His vow to protect Oriana complicates his feelings for her. Oriana is stubborn, loyal and confused. She wants to live her life the way she has been, but Pierce teases her mind with all that she could have. They both initially fight their feelings, but they are instinctively drawn to each other. It's a sweet love story that is full of suspense, betrayal and heartache. I loved the storyline and am looking forward to more of this series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my voluntary and honest opinion of it.
