The Boot Knockers Baby by Em Petrova

Another brilliant story in the series, this is sexy, fun and heartwarming. Shane is a captivating character, he's sweet and charming, but full of self doubt. Jolie is a little selfish, but she's also confused and overwhelmed. He had already accepted a boot knocker job when he met Jolie, and the immediate, intense feelings he felt for her scared him and he left her without looking back. Jolie let him leave without making a fuss because it's what he wanted. Two years later and they are both questioning their decisions because the attraction between them has not lessened, if anything it's more powerful. I really loved this couple, even though they both thought they shouldn't be together, for different reasons, their reunion was loving and engrossing. This is a must add to your TBR list.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special.
