The Enigmatic Governess of Buford Manor by Emma Linfield

This is a captivating story that full of sketchy characters, suspense and intrigue. Nicholas is a kind, generous, naive and charming man. Rose is a sweet, caring, strong and smart woman. After her husband's death, Rose takes a post as a governess for Nicholas's father. Nicholas, for the first time ever, finds himself attracted to a woman, but Rose has no interest in romance. Weird things start to happen when the man who informed her of her husband's death shows up. Death, illness and strife invade the mansion and while Rose investigates the unexplained death of her husband, Nicholas gets more involved with the man she thinks is responsible for it. There's not a lot of romance going on, but what does occur is sweet and loving. It's a fascinating story that I could not put down.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
