The Wallflower's Wicked Wager by Collette Cameron

This is an sweet, intriguing and captivating story. Morgan is a charming and chivalrous man who is scarred inside and out. Shona has a title and money, is socially inept, has a body that is not in fashion and is the target of malicious gossip. Morgan saves Shona from drowning and the two form a kindred souls bond and fall in love. But Morgan has a nasty father who constantly puts him down and keeps trying to control him. Shona doesn't see Morgans outside scars, she just sees the sweet and compassionate man inside. But Morgan won't even think about marrying Shona because he has nothing to offer her. This is a feel good, romantic story that I recommend adding to your TBR list.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special.
