Coming Home by Ciana Stone

I received a copy of this book from Candid Book Reviews. This is dramatic and full of angst. It's sort of sweet and romantic. There were several surprises to the storyline, some good, some not so much. The story being told in both past and present slowly draws you in, until you're completely engrossed. Max was a sweet kid who turned into a man who is a little less sweet, but devoted. Until he hears the truth. Livi struggles through her life trying to be the strong, smart woman she's close to being. The end is bittersweet and interesting.

The characters are interesting, and I really liked Garrett, but I thought that Savannah was weak and ignorant. The sub story of Grady is great, I really enjoyed it. If you've read Bertrice Smalls Skye O'malley saga, it's like that. I just get bored after too much drama.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
