Brody's Bride by Kathleen Lawless

This is intense, suspenseful and romantic. Brody and Laura fell in love as teens, but Laura broke Brody's heart, humiliating him in front of a town full of people, and then leaving town. She had a good reason for what she did, but she couldn't tell him that. Ten years later she overhears a conversation about a man by the name of Hawkes who is planning to destroy Brody and his brothers and take the ranch they own. She comes back to town to be the new teacher hoping that she can find out information for Brody about Hawkes plans, her boss being Hawkes. Brody is not pleased to see her, and she tries to stay away from him so that she doesn't cause more problems for him. But there's so much intrigue and drsma going on that they can't help but see each other. Brody is a determined, caring and protective man. Laura is a stubborn, impulsive and impatient woman. The only thing that I didn't like was that the end didn't have everything wrapped up. I received a complim...

More Than A Rogue by Sophie Barnes

This is romantic, unpredictable and very entertaining. Lord Griffin is chivalrous, honorable and stubborn. Emily is feisty, honest and vulnerable. When Emily and Griffin first laid eyes on each other they were both left stunned and breathless, and ever since that day they have been sneaking looks at the other. But that's as far as it was going to go, because he lived in Vienna, and she was on the shelf. While visiting in London after being gone for 6 years, Emily decided that she wanted to experience a kiss. At the next ball she went out to the garden with a man, intending to get one kiss, then go back inside. Griffin watched the two go outside, and it became imperative that he follow them, even though he didn't know why. When he saw that Emily was about to be kissed, he got angry and ran the man off. Then he kissed Emily. When the kiss was over they found that they had an audience, her mother, sister and aunt. The aunt immediately says that they need to get married, so Griffin...

An Imperfect Engagement by Alyssa Drake

This is a gripping, suspenseful and romantic story. This book continues the story of Benjamin and Samantha's relationship, and the hunt for the person that has been threatening her family. Samantha runs out on her engagement luncheon to find the missing treasure, only to be kidnapped, drugged and beaten by the man. Benjamin and Edward battle each other over who is responsible for her safety.  Most of the characters are a bit mentally unstable, their demeanors change °180 in the blink of an eye just because someone comments on it. There is drama and unforseen twists that keep you from being able to put the book down. I can not wait until the next book comes out. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

Grace by Emberly Hart

This is an interesting and romantic story. After Grace's parents died she had no way to support herself, so she became a mail order bride. When she arrived in the town she was to be married in, she was told that the man she was to marry had died. He was the deputy sheriff and had been shot. Grace wanted answers about how and why her betrothed was killed so she walked to the sheriff's office to talk to him. Brock left her sitting in the full waiting room for hours before he spoke to her. After talking she asked if there was someplace she could stay and her her room and board, while he was thinking a couple of men in the waiting room offered to take her home. Brock didn't like that, so he decided to marry her himself. Troubles with replacing a deputy, and a jealous housekeeper keep them busy, too busy to be a couple. Grace is strong, smart and feisty, Brock is caring, protective and determined. The storyline is entertaining and all of the characters are interesting. I receiv...
