The Lady, The Duke and The Gentleman by Abby Ayles

This is a sometimes ridiculous, sometimes romantic, sometimes irritating story, the characters are confounding, odd and harsh, the storyline drags on a bit too long, BUT it's interesting and engrossing. The end was a little shocking and sad, but much better than I had anticipated. I really like Mr. Perry, he is charming and sweet. Antoinette is young, naive and unable to think for herself. Duke Godwin is impossible to figure out. So it's not a bad story, it's just a bit much.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
