Daring Widow by Cerise DeLand

This is an interesting and intriguing storyline. The characters are very different from the usual lords and ladies, more forward thinking, less formal. Andre is a charming, romantic and determined man. Marianne is a strong, independent and stubborn woman. Andre falls for her immediately, but she wants nothing to do with any man. So he bides his time and becomes a friend to her, hoping to earn her trust. There is nothing conventional about their relationship, it's steamy, not completely secret and creative. There is some drama in the story, but it doesn't really affect Andre and Marianne. I enjoyed the story, even though it didn't keep my complete attention.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
