The Governess Who Stole My Heart by Hanna Hamilton

This is a dramatic and sweet story. John is captivating, he's not the usual stuffy and arrogant Duke, but he's not all warm and fuzzy either. He's mild mannered and kind, but a bit oblivious. Susan is sweet, caring, calm and naive. Years after being jilted by John's brother, Susan ends up as his daughter's nanny/teacher. She had just been reintroduced to an friends brother who wanted to court her, but he was a ships captain and would be away. She sees Daniel when he's home but is reluctant to make a commitment. She also develops feelings for John. She can't make up her mind about either, and is pathetically weak about it. It's a sweet storyline, but it lacks energy.

This is a short, intense and entertaining story. Ben is caring, protective, stubborn and sweet. Liz is independent, determined, tough and fierce. When Ben hears a defendant threaten Liz, he insists the judge order protection, and that he be the one assigned to her. Liz finds him ridiculously attractive, but there's no way that she's going to put her heart on the line with a man with such a dangerous job. Ben won't put his heart on the line either, he'd been there and done that. But the chemistry between them is hard to ignore, so they don't. It's a very short story, but very good. A Damsel For The Mysterious Duke by Bridget Barton

This is a captivating, suspenseful and romantic story. Sammy is unsure, sweet, charming and engaging. Georgina is determined, loyal and kind. When Sammy sees Georgina for the first time in years, he's very happy, but also afraid that if she finds out that he is the former servant and friend from childhood, she could ruin his life. But she's just happy to find him again. Their friendship becomes a search for his past that is twisted and filled with tragedy. I couldn't put the book down trying to figure out who he really was. It's a brilliant and intriguing, and the characters vary from very sweet and charming, to evil. I highly recommend adding it your TBR list.
