Hearts In The Spotlight by Katie O'Connor

This is a sweet, emotional, dramatic and intense story. Brett is flirty, thoughtful, caring, cheeky and stubborn. Steph is kind, brave and vulnerable. Brett goes to Steph's B&B for some much needed relaxation, and the sight that greets him has him captivated. Steph didn't know that Brett was going to be her guest, and she's not happy that he is. Even if she's attracted to him. They build a friendship after he goes off and accuses her of being responsible for something she wasn't. The incident bonds them and the friendship starts turning to more. But then another tragedy rips them apart. It's an sad and intense yet sweet storyline with a lot of wonderful characters.

This is an amusing, heartwarming and romantic story. Simon is an honorable, charming and vulnerable man. Diana is sweet, caring and vulnerable. Simon believes that he killed his first wife and therefore doesn't deserve to be happy. But he believes in romance, which is why he chooses to be the person to tell Diana that she's being jilted by his best friend. He wants to help her overcome the scandal and when she decides to run from her tyrant father, he takes her. They get to know each other, and like each other, on their journey. It's very entertaining just how they get to know each other, and romantic and sweet. I love the whole series, but Simon and Diana are special. If you haven't added these books to your TBR list, do so. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
