I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a cute childrens book that my granddaughter very much enjoyed. It's cute and rhymie like Dr. Suess, and I loved reading it to her.
This is an intense, fascinating and captivating story of love and courage. Adam is a broken and defeated man, but he is also loyal, brave and caring. Denis is a confident, caring and loyal man who is lonely because of his circumstances. He longs for a woman to love who will also love him. Rosamunda is an intelligent, vivacious, curious and mute woman who has been locked up for her entire life. Paulina is a timid, insecure and cranky who has also been locked up for life. As the story begins Adam gets sick and becomes deaf and impotent, so he must concede his role of heir to his younger brother. He is upset by the pitying looks that his family give him that he decides he must leave, journeying to his father's other estates. This is a short, intense and entertaining story. Ben is caring, protective, stubborn and sweet. Liz is independent, determined, tough and fierce. When Ben hears a defendant threaten Liz, he insists the judge order protection, and that he be the one assigned to her. Liz finds him ridiculously attractive, but there's no way that she's going to put her heart on the line with a man with such a dangerous job. Ben won't put his heart on the line either, he'd been there and done that. But the chemistry between them is hard to ignore, so they don't. It's a very short story, but very good. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
This is a captivating, suspenseful and romantic story. Sammy is unsure, sweet, charming and engaging. Georgina is determined, loyal and kind. When Sammy sees Georgina for the first time in years, he's very happy, but also afraid that if she finds out that he is the former servant and friend from childhood, she could ruin his life. But she's just happy to find him again. Their friendship becomes a search for his past that is twisted and filled with tragedy. I couldn't put the book down trying to figure out who he really was. It's a brilliant and intriguing, and the characters vary from very sweet and charming, to evil. I highly recommend adding it your TBR list.
